Herm Sprenger Stainless Steel 4mm – Description – Extra Heavy Round Links are the most popular type of link style used, often used by not only trainers and professional dog handles but by the everyday dog owner.
- Each mm link thickness is suitable for different uses.
- The 4mm check, not chock, chains are the one of our heavier sizes available. Suitable for large dog to X Large breeds these chains are often used for dog training and by the everyday dog owner.

- Black Coated Stainless Steel check chains, are more expensive than Chrome plated, but the stainless steel chains are also more suited to dogs that live in coastal areas or spend time in water.
- Normal steel will become dull, and, especially with time spent in saltwater, will roughen the plating and become rusty.
- Stainless Steel has a higher breaking load producing greater security and longer life.

- Measure around the largest part of your dog’s head, then add 5cms. Select the chain size that is equal to or larger than this measurement. Chain sizes are based on overall length from the end-of-the-ring to end-of-the-ring. Length is approximate to within 1.27cm.

This chain collar comes in several sizes and will do for dogs with weight up to 242 lbs (110 kg). Please measure the length of your dog’s neck circumference and add from 2 to 3 inches to determine an appropriate collar length. Measurements are made from the end of one ring to end of another ring. See the chart to find the size your dog needs.
